As the year unfolds, leaders are navigating change, complexity, and opportunity. In moments like these, leadership is defined by clarity of purpose, integrity in decision-making, and the ability to turn uncertainty into meaningful progress.
At Ascend NorCal, leadership is deeply connected. Progress happens when individuals come together across organizations, invest in one another’s growth, and translate individual impact into shared influence.
This year, we remain committed to creating spaces where leaders connect with intention and build impact that lasts.

AAPI Voices Take Center Stage at Napa Valley Asian American Film Festival
“As we reflect on the Lunar New Year, we are reminded that leadership is also shaped by whose stories are told, amplified, and carried forward into the broader cultural narrative.” —Ascend NorCal Leadership
Recent moments at the Golden Globes highlighted the growing presence of AAPI storytellers on global stages, reinforcing how storytelling shapes culture, perspective, and leadership.
This February 6-7, we invite our community to engage with the Napa Valley Asian American Film Festival (NVAAFF), which elevates Asian American filmmakers and storytellers whose work reflects the depth and complexity of our community.
As a community benefit, our Ascend NorCal community may access a limited 25% VIP Industry Badge discount, providing all-access entry throughout the festival.
Leadership gains meaning when it moves from intention to action. Through mentorship, community engagement, and shared learning, Ascend NorCal continues to invest in people and pathways that strengthen leadership influence across organizations and communities.
There are many ways to be part of this work, including:
Volunteering and supporting community initiatives
Speaking or facilitating future programs
Participating in mentorship and student outreach
Exploring corporate partnership and sponsorship opportunities
If you are interested in getting involved or would like to connect with our leadership team, please reach out to northerncalifornia@ascendleadership.org and let us know how you would like to engage.
